当你主动开始效果并完成 macOS 屏幕录制或屏幕共享授权后，FoldFX 会读取你选择的屏幕画面，用于在本机实时生成投影和渐变毛玻璃效果。

屏幕帧仅在设备内存中处理，不保存到磁盘，不上传至服务器。FoldFX 不记录窗口标题、文件名、键盘输入或剪贴板内容。

机盖角度和设置

在支持的 MacBook 上，FoldFX 会在本机读取机盖角度以驱动视觉效果。应用可以在自身容器中保存效果偏好、引导状态和校准配置，这些信息不会自动上传。

本地诊断

FoldFX 可以在应用容器内保存有限的运行诊断，例如机盖角度、运行状态、性能等级和错误代码。诊断日志不包含屏幕像素、窗口标题、文件名或用户输入。

本地诊断日志最多保留7天，并受20 MB容量上限约束。你可以在设置中清空日志，也可以通过系统保存面板主动导出诊断报告；只有你自行选择分享时，导出文件才会离开设备。

网络、账号和第三方服务

当前版本无需注册或登录 FoldFX 账号，不包含第三方广告、分析或跟踪 SDK，也不会自动上传诊断数据。App Store 版本的更新由 Mac App Store 提供。

系统权限

FoldFX 使用 macOS 的系统权限流程请求屏幕录制或屏幕共享权限。你可以随时在系统设置中撤销权限，也可以在 FoldFX 中暂停或停止效果；仅当 FoldFX 位于前台时，按 Esc 才会恢复正常桌面。

FoldFX Privacy Policy

FoldFX is a Mac app that renders desktop visual effects locally on the user's device. We value your privacy and process data as described below.

Screen Content

After you explicitly start an effect and complete the macOS Screen Recording or screen-sharing authorization flow, FoldFX reads the display you select solely to render projection and graduated frosted-glass effects locally and in real time.

Screen frames are processed only in device memory. They are not saved to disk, uploaded to a server, or used for advertising, tracking, or profiling. FoldFX does not separately record window titles, filenames, keyboard input, or clipboard content.

Lid Angle and Settings

On supported MacBook models, FoldFX reads the lid angle locally to drive the visual effect. The app may save effect preferences, onboarding state, and calibration settings in its own container. This information is not uploaded automatically.

Local Diagnostics

FoldFX may store limited runtime diagnostics in the app container, such as lid angle, runtime state, performance level, and error codes, solely for local troubleshooting. Diagnostic logs do not contain screen pixels, window titles, filenames, or user input.

Local diagnostic logs are retained for no more than 7 days and are limited to 20 MB. You can immediately delete logs managed by FoldFX by choosing Clear Logs in Settings. You can also explicitly export a diagnostic report through the system Save panel; the exported file leaves the app container only if you choose to share it.

Network, Accounts, and Third-Party Services

The current version does not require a FoldFX account. It contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs, and it does not automatically upload diagnostics. App updates are delivered by the Mac App Store.

System Permissions

FoldFX uses the macOS system authorization flow to request Screen Recording or screen-sharing access. You can revoke access at any time in System Settings, or pause and stop the effect in FoldFX. When FoldFX is the foreground app, you can also press Esc to restore the normal desktop.
